SCREAMING and YELLING

Dear friends, I have adopted a child in my heart. He is stuck in an Eastern European (Bulgaria, Ukraine, Latvia etc.) mental institution, He was in an orphanage where he received tender care. But the institutions are hopeless. No toys, wheelchairs, tables, just sitting or lying in a bed all day. I have committed to be his advocate, praying for him and raising money for his adoption fund. Advocating means I am sharing his story, his fate. Igor (his name through Reese's Rainbow) needs to be adopted by someone in America. I always pray that a family will come for him. He needs to be adopted as soon as possible! My good friend Julia Nalle adopted a little boy from an institution in Ukraine. He is now thriving, getting treatment for his Arthrogryposis, , and has a totally new life from his life with his family in America. He was only six when he was sent to an adult mental institution, where the conditions are subhuman. He was rescued by this loving family.
Igor, who I affectionally call Joshy, needs a family also. One way to participate is to join me in praying for him. Another way to participate is to donate to his adoption fund, so when a family adopts him, they have money to go to EE and rescue him. It costs $20,000 to adopt from EE. Many families do fundraisers and rely on donations to raise this amount of money. Currently my little Joshy has $750. I have donated to his fund and I am also going to have a garage sale to raise money for this child of my heart. Please click on this link and take time to read about EE instituions and how dire the situation is. Igor's picture is there. My friend Julia is having a HUGE giveaway for people who donate to a child's fund. You can see pictures of the give away items, which includes an iPad and 80 other items. All proceeds go to fund the adoption of these precious children. Any donation is accepted. Please search you hearts and help me to get Igor out of his institution. Praying and donation are the best ways to help the children in these institutions. Of course my prayer for him is for a family to adopt him. This is the least I can do for him. Jesus calls us to care for the least of his people. Please add Igor to your prayers and send money, if you are able. If you have questions, reply to this post or message me. My e-mail is cheryl.schalk@gmail.com. My friend Julia says we must yell and scream for these children so the world understands. So, this is me SCREAMING and YELLING for Igor and all the suffering children in Eastern Europe.

  1. Igor is not far from hitting the $2,000 mark! That's exciting! And less than 2 weeks ago he had $750. Your efforts must be working!
